Tagspaces github3/18/2023 ![]() It is remotely similar to other file tagging and note taking services (See Similar Products) on the basis of functionality, but it differs mainly because of its lack of database and its general offline / no-cloud / no vendor lock-in orientation. Users can sync their files between devices by using services like Google Drive or Dropbox. TagSpaces does not require Internet connection and access to cloud services in order to run on PC and portable devices. It has a responsive design which adapts to window size and proportions of the device in use. Users access their information on different devices through a single user interface. TagSpaces is compatible with most of the currently widespread platforms. Users create, name, edit, sort, group, rename and delete their own tags by following their own logic in the file-tagging process. Tags may vary in color and may also differ in purpose. File management and data associations occur by labeling files with tags. It helps users organize files, photos and other documents on their local drives. TagSpaces is an open source application for file navigation and data management. The application requires neither internet connection, nor user's registration to run both on desktop and portable devices. TagSpaces is compatible with Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, iPhone, Firefox and Chrome. Users get the same user interface to manage their files on different platforms. I love f-droid, if I can help with anything just tell me. I’ve built successfully the app with this command: zshrc export ANDROID_HOME=/opt/android-sdkĮxport PATH=$:$ANDROID_HOME/tools:$ANDROID_HOME/platform-toolsĤ.2 Installing from “android” command the API 21 (I selected and installed API 21).Ĥ.3 And finally installing “apache-ant” from the Arch official repositories:ĥ. It thrown me some errors which I fixed this way:Ĥ.1 Adding this lines to my. cd to tagspaces extracted folder and executed this command: I’ve downloaded from the tagspaces releases page the last version and extracted it.Ĥ. Then, I’ve installed “cordova” from the AURģ. $ yaourt -S android-sdk android-sdk-build-tools android-sdk-platform-toolsĢ. First thing I’ve done is install the Android SDK from the AUR (Arch User Repository). It’s my first time building something for Android so excuse me if I’m typing something that maybe it’s obvious for experienced users:ġ. This is what I did, maybe it can help to add this app to f-droid. Hi krt, I’ve built this package successfully on my Arch Linux. If I ever manage to know how does the Tagspaces developer build its Android package, I’ll try to do it and post here although if you haven’t been able, much less will be I, I’m afraid.Ĭheers. Hve you thought about putting an “ad” at the top of F-Droid’s pages calling for skilled people to help building apps, a bit like those ads on Wikipedia asking for donations?ĭon’t know if “free world” programmers are expecting for Ubuntu to be available on phones and don’t want to “work for Android” or what but it’s so incedible that among all those people out there denouncing the lack of privacy, freedom and secuity in the mobile world, and collaborating in sites like Pism break, FSF (look at this campaign Seems somebody at the FSF should be willing to help, no?), etc, not even a small bunch of developers have joined you efforts here, in F-Doid… What a pity. So you are practically the unique person mantaining F-Droid repo… Wow! Your devotion is frankly encomiable, but I can’t avoid to feel surprised that nobody else is aiming to collaborate, not even the pople at the FSF, who recommend F-droid.
